Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning dry and wet messes in one session, without having to switch devices. They can also save space in comparison to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. automated vacuum 's among the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you running with a clean, full dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at fast speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you want for each room.
You could, for instance, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation technology are excellent too as the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only issue it has is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at full speed. However, an instant glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing, where it's going, and which obstacles it's run into or avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station shows the maintenance tasks that are required including emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank by using a 600ml bottle filled with Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to needing to recharge or returning back to the base. You can view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is well laid out and easily understood however we would like to be able distinguish between a mop only vacuum and mop clean, when examining a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's flagship robot vacuum and mop. In contrast to the model of last year, this one features two agitators in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that enables it to pick up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.
The Roborock model, like the other two I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating two cameras that can recognize objects, and determine if they are walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its path and clean the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular style is eye-catching and it has just three physical buttons which include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button to bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only downside I've found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. It is possible to change the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to take the mount off to wash it manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mounts, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. However, you'll have to go through a few hoops in order to enable voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering how well it performs otherwise.

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive on the market, but it packs in a lot of additional features that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that utilizes two mops that are high-speed to clean floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and has a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. The mop mops are cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This is an excellent feature because it prevents the build-up of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient.
